Grenty was born in 2018 in Argentina with a simple idea: a lease should not fall through because of fear. Today the group operates in four countries and stands behind the rent of more than 60,000 leases.
Grenty is the brand GY Group operates rent protection with in the United States. The group started in 2018 in Argentina under the name GarantíaYa and has since accumulated more than 60,000 protected leases and over USD 650 million in rent backed.
The story starts with a problem that was never Argentine, or Spanish, or American. It belongs to the market itself. A solvent tenant can lose a home because nobody will stand behind them. A landlord can say no to a perfectly good lease because the risk of non-payment feels bigger than the deal. Both sides lose, and the contract never gets signed.
GarantíaYa was created in 2018 to untie that knot in Buenos Aires. In 2022 the model crossed the Atlantic into Spain. In 2025 it reached the United States as Grenty, with Miami as its first market. In 2026 Grenty Portugal opened. Four countries, one mechanic: turn a risk objection into a process that lets the deal move forward.
In Argentina and Spain the brand is GarantíaYa. In the United States and Portugal it is Grenty. Underneath both sits GY Group, the umbrella brand that holds the risk criteria, the technology and the operation together. The name on the door adapts to each market; the way a file is analysed, approved and honoured does not.
That is not cosmetic, it is a market decision. A Miami agent does not negotiate in the same vocabulary as a Buenos Aires real estate agent. Grenty speaks the local language of the deal — lease, landlord, property manager, rent protection — because a product that has to be explained twice never makes it into the closing conversation.
Eight years in, the numbers say it better than any adjective: more than 300,000 applications processed and over USD 2 million already paid out to landlords. Backing is not a speech. It is a track record.

Cumulative GY Group figures since 2018: GarantíaYa (Argentina, Spain) and Grenty (United States, Portugal).
The first market, and the hardest one: an economy where a tenant without a property-owning co-signer simply did not rent. The model is built there.
GarantíaYa España proves the criteria travel: different law, different rental culture, same result — files that used to stall now close.
Grenty LLC starts operating in Miami-Dade with Rent Protection adapted to the US lease: agents, property managers, landlords and tenants.
The fourth market, and the second under the Grenty name. Lisbon and Porto get the same criteria that had already been tested for eight years.
We did not come to Miami to try our luck. We came with eight years of leases honoured behind us.
One standard. The same system that approves files in Buenos Aires and Madrid is what reads a Miami-Dade lease today.
Four markets. Argentina, Spain, the United States and Portugal. Different laws, different languages, the same obsession with getting the deal signed.
Zero improvising. Every expansion started from a model that already worked, not from a blank page. Portugal was the fourth market, not the first.
The umbrella brand. It holds the risk criteria, the technology and the operating standard that every country brand runs on.
Where it all started, in 2018, and the 2022 expansion: the first proof that the criteria travel across legal systems, not just across cities.
The Grenty name covers the United States since 2025 and Portugal since 2026. Same group, a brand built for each market.

Because Miami is the city where the problem Grenty solves shows up most often. A rental market that moves fast, with a constant flow of people arriving from other countries — strong income, and no US credit history to show for it.
That combination is exactly what the group had already seen twice. An applicant who can pay, and a file that cannot prove it in the format the market asks for. In Buenos Aires the missing piece was a property-owning co-signer. In Madrid it was payroll history. In Miami it is a credit score and a US rental record. The shape of the gap changes; the gap is the same.
A single decision that serves all four sides of the same lease. The agent closes without losing the deal to a nervous owner. The property manager stops carrying the operating cost of chasing rent. The owner gets certainty instead of a bet. The tenant gets a door that was closed. Most of the market solves one of those four and breaks the other three.
And a process that does not add friction to close the gap: register the property, run the risk analysis, sign digitally, and the lease moves with protection in place. Rent Protection starts at $399 as a single payment that covers the whole lease, for rents up to $2,000 a month; above that it varies with the rent. Never monthly.

Grenty LLC has been operating in the United States since 2025, so in this market it is recent. The model behind it is not: it has been running since 2018 across Argentina, Spain and, from 2026, Portugal, with more than 60,000 leases protected.
GY Group is the umbrella brand of the group Grenty belongs to. Every country brand — GarantíaYa in Argentina and Spain, Grenty in the United States and Portugal — operates under its risk criteria, its technology and its operating standard.
They are two brands of the same group. GarantíaYa is the name used in Argentina and Spain; Grenty is the name used in the United States and Portugal. The brand adapts to each market, the criteria behind the decision do not change.
